On September 12, 2015 STAT! members and friends will come together to support the first-ever San Diego Break Free Run! We will provide this support in several ways and invite everyone to find a way to participate.

  1. Walk or Run with us. STAT! has formed a team of walkers/runners to show our solidarity and help raise money for the cause. A portion of the fundraising will go to Generate Hope and San Diego Youth Services’ STARS program.¬†Watch this short video to learn how to join our team.
  2. Fundraise for us. Even if you don’t want to walk or run, or if you have friends who would like to help, you can donate to the cause. Every dollar helps victims recover.
  3. Volunteer with us. Here’s your chance for hands-on service. STAT! will be staffing packet pickup the day before the race and will also staff the registration booth the morning of the race. Email us if you would like to help. Available shifts:
    1. Packet pick-up 2-5pm on Friday, September 11 in Mission Valley just east of 805
    2. Packet pick-up 5-8pm on Friday, September 11 in Mission Valley just east of 805
    3.

Registration 6-7:45am on Saturday, September 12 near Fiesta Island, Mission Bay Park

  4. Staff the STAT! table. During the event, STAT! will share information about how Soroptimists in San Diego are helping in the fight against human trafficking. Email us if you can help staff our table.

STAT! meets the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 5:30 p.m. at 4747 Viewridge Ave. in the downstairs conference room. All Soroptimist members are invited to participate in our efforts to raise awareness about human trafficking and support victims’ services.
